Lake Placid Sinfonietta

In memory of Vincent R. McLean, featuring
guest violinists Albert and Alexander Markov in a program highlighted by
performances of Mozart's "Sinfonia Concertante" and Vivaldi's "Four
Seasons".
Handel's "Water Music" and Beethoven's
"Pastoral Symphony" are two of the selections
that will pay homage to this most basic element.
Grammy nominated pianist Andrew Russo will
perform a Beethoven Piano Concerto, and Vladimir Pritsker joins concertmaster
Daniel Szasz for a performance of the Bach Double Violin Concerto.
Artur Rodzinski, who had a home in Lake
Placid, corresponded with all of the living composers of his day. Letters to Maestro Rodzinski will be read
and music by those composers will be performed.
Soprano Laura Enslin, guest artist.
Mozart's "Jupiter Symphony" and the ethereal
"Reverie and Caprice" by Berlioz (Daniel Szasz violin soloist) will be grounded
by Copland's iconic masterpiece "Appalachian Spring"
Ron Spigelman steps off the podium to join
trumpeter David Greenhoe in Vivaldi's Double Trumpet Concerto. The final piece will be the famed "Farewell
Symphony" by Haydn.
