Back by popular demand! Fondly named after the original Salon des Refusés held in 1863 Paris, this one-night pop-up exhibit is a counterpoint to the 2025 Metamorphosis Juried Art Show.
The original Paris Salon was meant to assuage artist protests while allowing the public to make their own judgements of works that were not selected for the “main” exhibit.
We believe all art has value. By displaying the pieces that did not happen to fit within the jurors’ curatorial vision for our Annual Themed Juried Art Show, we recognize each artist’s significant contribution to North Country culture and community.
