A FREE summer series for our youngest audience members.

The Young & Fun Performance Series is dedicated to bringing the best entertainment for all ages to Lake Placid.

There is no charge for any Young & Fun performance. Seating is first come, first served so we cannot guarantee availability. We recommend arriving early, and/or making a backup plan in the event that we fill the theatre and cannot admit any more audience members (for example, enjoy our outdoor playground and then head to Simply Gourmet or Stewart’s for a snack!).

Leland Faulkner is a visionary artist and arts educator who blends profound storytelling with intricate craftsmanship captivating audiences worldwide. His performances invite audiences to listen with the heart of a child, the mind of an elder, and the soul of a warrior.

Worlds of Wonder is a feast for the heart and the mind where light and shadow become players in a magical universe. Audiences are transported into their imagination in this live performance combining mime, magic, and story in original ways.

Leland is a master theatre artist, and his program, World of Wonder is both art and entertainment. Leland shares amazing magic, and engaging stories filled with imagination: interactive theater and living literature that leaps off the stage to create a unique experience created to promote tolerance, respect, and wonder. Leland has performed and lived around world. His career spans  genres like film, theatre, and directing. He regularly appears in theatres, schools, and festivals all over the U.S, Canada, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Spain, Thailand, Russia, and Turkey.

Leland holds a degree in Motion Picture Studies from the Brooks Institute, has trained with renowned mime artist Tony Montanaro and later worked and taught with mask master Bari Rolfe. His professional background is varied: master storyteller, touring artist, artistic director, performance coach, and film and theater director. He directed the award-winning fiction film, The King O’ Cats, the documentary film, Theater & Inspiration, and several programs for broadcast television.
