Since 1972, the Lake Placid Center for the Arts (LPCA) has presented arts programming of the highest caliber amidst the stunning backdrop of the Adirondack Park of Northern New York.
Founded by Nettie Marie Jones, whose generosity and vision provided both the 4.5 acres and the buildings on which the LPCA grew, the LPCA works to fulfill its mission to inspire, enrich, educate and entertain people of all ages through four pillars of artistic programming, which constitutes a majority of the work we do each season.

More than 50 in-person workshops and over 100 virtual classes in multiple performing and visual arts disciplines, offering an opportunity for all students to develop new skills, whether they are 4 or 104 years old.

13 rotating exhibits each year featuring the work of approximately 150 national and local artists at The Gallery @ LPCA, as well as work for sale at our Gallery 46 location on Main Street that represents over 100 professional artists annually who live or work in the Adirondacks.
