Class Description
Come and get your hands dirty in the Ceramics Studio! Students will learn the basic skills of throwing and create a cylinder, mug, and bowl. Students will also learn the operations of a pottery studio and develop a foundational understanding of pottery terminology and process.

Class Timeline
Week 1
Monday, August 3
Wednesday, August 5
Students learn the stages of clay and basics of ceramics. Watch a demo and then try your hand at throwing a 6″ cylinder with help from Morin.
Weeks 2 & 3

Classes begin with a demonstration followed by practice in throwing and trimming mugs, and pulling and attaching handles.
Week 4

Classes begin with a demonstration followed by practice in throwing and trimming bowls.

Classes begin with a demonstration followed by practice in glazing. Morin will bisque fire all work between sessions. Complete your pieces and begin new work as time allows.
