Log Cabin Floor Loom Weave-In with Cheryl Maid

Ages 18+
Experience Level Beginners and above who have some experience in warping a floor loom.


Class Description

This workshop will introduce participants to the Log Cabin weaving design; a very simple but striking pattern that can be incorporated into a wide range of weaving projects. Participants can choose to weave either a set of cocktail napkins, a scarf, or a project of their own design.

Formal instruction will be held on the first day.
The following three sessions will be instructor-supported studio time.
Students are welcome to use the Loom Room to complete their projects independently through May 6th.

About the Instructor

Cheryl Maid adopted weaving as her primary creative outlet after retiring to the Adirondacks. She has explored a wide range of weaving techniques over the course of 15 years at the loom, and has taught multiple weaving classes at the Arts Center.
