Class Description
Come and get your hands dirty in the Ceramics Studio! In this 2-week, four-session workshop, students will design and create an original clay sculpture while exploring handbuilding techniques, glazing, and mixed media.

Students will be provided with
• Fresh clay
• Access to traditional ceramic tools
• Space in our kilns to fire pots

Class Timeline
Day 1
Tuesday, January 19
Explore examples of ceramic sculpture, develop sketches, and begin building your original piece with guidance from Morin.
Day 2
Thursday, January 21
Continue constructing and refining your sculpture using clay and ceramic tools.
Between sessions, Morin will bisque fire student work.
Day 3
Tuesday, January 26
Apply glazes or underglazes to your bisque-fired sculpture to add color and finish.
Day 4
Thursday, January 28
Complete your artwork with mixed media techniques and final embellishments.
