Debbie was assistant curator of Decorative Arts at the Cincinnati Art Museum. She had been an art history major at the College of Design, Architecture and Planning of the University of Cincinnati, followed by course work in American cultural studies at the Winterthur Museum. She met her husband here and both families have been coming to Lake Placid for generations.
Meanwhile, Debbie has served on the Board of the Convalescent Hospital for Children, a division of Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and on the Board of its auxiliary which hosted the Cincinnati Antiques Festival. More recently, she has served on the Board of the Cincinnati Nature Center, where she was also a volunteer and occasional buyer for their Nature Shop. Debbie feels that Lake Placid has had a strong history of providing art and music experiences for its residents and visitors and that it is important for the community to continue to do so.
