Jennifer Jennings and her husband Michael started coming to Lake Placid regularly to visit family beginning in 2000. It was then they fell in love with the town. They now split their time between their homes in Lake Placid and Roseland, NJ. Jennifer attended college at Rider University and received an undergraduate degree in Education. She holds two master’s degrees – one from New Jersey City University as a Reading Specialist and a second from Caldwell College in School Counseling. Being raised by a mother who is a dancer and an artist, and a father who was in education, her love of the arts and helping others was instilled and supported at an early age. She took dance lessons and has performed in community theatre well into adulthood. Until recently, she was an active member of the Paramus Scholarship Show, often in leading roles. The organization stages musical theatre to raise money that provides scholarships to high school seniors. Early on in her visits to Lake Placid, Jennifer began attending LPCA performances and workshops. She is excited to be an active member of an organization that brings wonderful programs to the Adirondacks and supports arts education for children and adults. Jennifer is an avid Broadway fan and enjoys running, hot yoga and hiking.
